Ein heitasta og vinsælasta hljómsveit veraldar alt-J heldur stórtónleika í Vodafonehöllinni 2. júní.
Alt-J hefur verið að túra um heiminn að undanförnu til að fylgja eftir hinni frábæru plötu This is All Yours, sem var útnefnd til Grammyverðlauna, og hafa þeir fyllt hverja tónleikahöllina af fætur annari. Á mörgum stöðum hefur eftirspurnin verið svo gríðarleg að skipt hefur verið um tónleikastað og mun stærri höll komið í staðinn.
Hljómsveitin var stofnuð árið 2007 og fyrsta plata þeirra, An Awesome Wave, kom út árið 2012. Fékk hin virtu Mercury verðlaun og valin plata ársins á fjölmörgum stöðum í heiminum. Þar á meðal Íslandi. Með þekktra laga strákanna í alt-J eru t.d. Breezeblocks, Matilda og Tesselate frá fyrstu plötu þeirra. Nýja platan þeirra, This Is All Yours kom út í september á síðasta ári og fékk ekki síðri dóma en fyrirrennarinn.
Það er því með mikilli gleði að geta boðið upp á þessa frábæru hljómsveit núna í byrjun sumar.

The band rocked, the light show was spectacular. There was so much energy. Awesome show! So glad I went!
Seriously one of my top concerts I've ever been to. Alt j has amazing music and sounded fantastic. I am a huge fan and it was so exciting to see them after knowing about them for two years. I would definitely recommend going to see them even if you do not know their music. Great performance!!!!!
Unbelievable. Seeing alt-J live was one of my favorite experiences. I admire the band so much for their originality and passion, and I definitely felt that passion standing in the crowd. I had an incredible view and the crowd was so respectful of the band. I've been to concerts where people talk or cheer during the quiet parts of the song but that was not the case at alt-J. Everyone there admired the band as much as I did and it was so cool to be surrounded by that appreciation. The band sounded incredible, I loved feeling the music. Seeing Thom drumming with unbelievable speed and precision, Gus playing intricate keyboard parts, and Joe singing in his wonderfully unique voice was absolutely priceless. The lighting was awesome too, the different colors matched each song perfectly. I'm still in shock of how great it was. Just an awesome concert.
Best show of the year! I didn't imagine alt-J can keep on getting better but each show of theirs tops the previous one.
Thom Green's drumming is absolutely out of this world - fluently switching between his acoustic and electronic kits - and truly mesmerizing to witness live. Thom's intensity and impeccable creative sound makes alt-J stand out from all the other bands who can put a good show.
The lighting was stunning too! At times I wanted to close my eyes and immerse myself in the music completely but feared I'd miss out on all the gorgeous lighting changes.
